Charming touches in a cozy stay
The staff at Hostal 4C Cuatro Caminos were exceptionally friendly and always willing to help. The charming courtyard was a lovely spot for breakfast, and I enjoyed the vibrant local dining options nearby. It was great to start my day with an affordable breakfast, followed by a short stroll to the Cuatro Caminos metro stop for easy access to the city’s attractions.
The room I stayed in was a bit small and lacked a refrigerator, which would have been useful for keeping snacks and drinks. Also, the unique decor might not appeal to everyone. Despite these minor issues, I found the place comfortable and accommodating, though a slightly larger space would have been preferable.

Great location near public transport, quiet rooms, spacious courtyard
Noise from garbage collection at odd hours interferes with sleep!!! Shower design causes water to splash everywhere and damage the door!!! Thin bedding leaves one feeling overly cold or uncomfortable!!!

The smoked salmon from La CASA DEL Mofongo is a must-try! Also, it's strategically located just steps from Werfresh Healthy Food and Bar Rubi for quick bites after a day of exploring. The shower had great water pressure too—perfect for refreshing up after wandering the streets.
When I arrived for check-in, I faced an overbooking issue. While everyone makes mistakes, the hotel’s response was less than stellar. A heads-up would’ve avoided a lot of hassle.

The Twin Room was a bit small but totally comfortable. The beds were nice and cozy, perfect after a long day exploring. I really loved the decor and the good air conditioning. It didn't feel like a typical hostel, more like a nice little hotel. Also, it was in a quiet area despite being close to the metro.
